Project Activities
Kurzeme planning region is participating in the project for the first time and has nominated two objects for implementation: Sabile wine Hill and Broceni Forest Park. Talsi County’s Sabiles wine Mountain is planed one info stand with tactile solutions and purchase three 3D glasses, with a video capturing views from Mount wine, vintage harvesting and other activities on Mount wine. Planned to set up a walking trail in Saldus municipality`s Broceni Forest Park by investing in infrastructure improvement: the wooden deck path around the pond connecting the garden to the viewing platform, the viewing platform itself, a resting place, info stands with tactile information, and other improvement to make the resting place accessible to people with disabilities. The project planned cooperation with an expert on environmental accessibility, with which it is planned to follow the Broceni Forest trail and find the most effective solutions for environmental accessibility. The expert will also be drawn into the production of information stands so that information is accessible and understandable to people with visual impairments. These could be creatives tactile solutions for info stands at both Sabile wine Hill and Broceni Forest Park. The project also provides for the exchange of training and experience for garden owners. Information on the gardens available for inspection will be collected and placed on a single existing website https://www.gardenpearls.eu/?lang=lv, which will be complemented and refined. Information on the progress and results of the project will be provided to the media, tourism companies and the results of the project will be advertised at tourism fairs, etc. Project activities are being implemented with the support of Interreg Estonia-Latvia Programme 2021-2027.
